Swing Arm Boot The bellows between the gearbox and the swing arm fulfils an important task: It protects the underlying universal joint and ensures that the swing arm and the universal joint remain dry and free of dirt. It is therefore worth checking this inconspicuous but all the more important part of the frame regularly and replacing it immediately as soon as the material is porous or even damaged. Water or dirt in the swingarm will cause expensive damage to the drive and final drive in the long term.
